Yes — embroidery on the chest + DTF on the back is a common combination.
Which technique lasts longest?
Embroidery: it is thread stitched into the fabric, with nothing that can peel or crack. DTF also holds up very well, but its lifespan depends on the garment, the transfer, the pressing parameters and the wash cycle. For garments washed very often, we prefer a wash test on a sample over a general figure.
Which is the most economical?
DTF in general up to 500 pieces. Beyond that, embroidery can become competitive.
